Spooky atmospheres for every mood

Haunted Forest is the most creepy of what is offered here, with an hour of creaking forest limbs and unexplained noises in a misty forest. Haunted Cemetery Ambience is two hours of a light drizzle, lingering background thunder, some rustling and murmurings and other transient "what's that" noises. Spooky Halloween Fireplace with Rain on Windows Sound is, at eight hours, the least scary and most cozy, with comforting candlelit pumpkins and fireplace crackling backed with rain upon windowpanes.

I listen to 1 Hour of Witchcraft Music fairly often. I also like all the Dark Academia playlists I've come across, and when I want some otherworldly but non-spooky atmospheric music, I turn to Enchanted Celtic Music.

I love that you have music playlists that are spooky, and maybe a SpookySeason post of those would be good because I don't know about those? But this is about atmospheres, no music, no words.

This is cool! For spooky ambient stuff, I've been a fan of Lustmord. It may be a little less cozy than what's highlighted here but I do find it's perfect for the seasonal vibes

I enjoy the site mynoise.net, which has a multitude of music / noise generators, which you can control with sliders. You unlock even more with a modest Metafilter-sized donation.

Particularly spooky noise generators:

Evil Charm
Poltergeist
Dark Forest
Dark Dungeon

Mouse over each slider to find what noise element it's controlling.
