Camera Viewfinder Simulator. So you've got your fancy camera out of the box. Yay! Wait, you can now adjust focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and distance from your subject. How do those variables affect the picture? This website gives you sliders to wiggle all those variables and see the result.

I could have used this a month ago, BEFORE taking about 1000 shots on vacation. But thanks anyway, this is cool.

oh this is a very fun toy

kinda wish it also had, like, the various iPhone cameras in there as defaults, for ease of comparison

The model must be Supergirl, if you set the zoom to 24mm then slide the "Model (focus)' back and forth, she flies through the air...

Seriously this very cool. Worth far more than a thousand words!

Did not see ISO, and changing the F-Stop didn't change how much light seemed to be captured.

Which woulda been cool, and really drive home how camera adjustment works. Did I miss something?

Yeah ISO is not an option, but understandable as that would make things much more complicated.

It's nice you can change the model in the simulation, but the icons in the DOF graph seem to be fixed at male profile for photographer, female profile for subject.

I'm so tired of this shit

Did I miss something?

The linked site/app is for showing how settings change the depth of field, and is not showing how the settings change exposure.

Overall pretty cool! - but - seems to be missing any of the effects of lens focal length on facial features, and the most obvious barrel distortion from wide angle lenses. (I'm sure that would also make the gadget more complicated, but still. Maybe a note somewheres to indicate that would occur : )
