Remember Lyle in Cube Sector? The game's developer is back after seventeen years with the extremely personality-filled 00's-style (Hot Topic aesthetic and all) low-poly 3D collectathon platformer Corn Kidz 3D, the world's second low-poly 3D platformer about a dreaming anthropomorphic goat (CK3D's dev is aware - there's a picture of the other game's protagonist somewhere in the game).

This looks great! That top "most helpful" review really sells it.

I eventually came to accept that what I was chasing this whole time wasn't a particular game, but the overall experience of being that age, playing it in that context. I've grown up, now, and that whole saying about "you can't go home again" has set in. Not even *Mario 64* feels like Mario 64 anymore. *I'm* different now. It's sad, but that's just life, right?

Or so I thought.

The name should be Corn Kidz 64, but the fanfic and mystery about Banjo-Kazooie back in the day, if any game can benefit from being 'mutated', it's this one.

Despite playing a whole lot of N64 in college, I have zero nostalgia for this aesthetic (or genre, tbh). This is super-beautifully done, though. Looking at the video, it feels ... janky? and squishy? ... exactly the way I expect it to.
