Cripes, it's 50 years today‽ Another excuse, as if one is needed, for making a big old bowl of caldo verde for lunch. Portugal has been kind to me for more than half my life, and it's not just the soup.
Last year I had Os Ganhões de Castro Verde, singing "Grândola, Vila Morena" on loop, which is great, but your link-fest will allow me to diversify. Thanks.

Mindblowing for me to think that the day before, Portugal, Greece and Spain all had authoritarian regimes. I was only a little child but this is what the "West" was willing to tolerate to keep the commies out.
