I... Don't understand.

Oh man this looks like it’s meant for me, but also looks phone- incompatible. Can’t wait to give it a shot

Tap.the Osc in the bottom leftt, then make the white outline match the black wave-form. (Works for me, I'm on an Android phone with Firefox.)

At first I was like, this already sounds like the right sound, why am I losing? Took me a minute to figure out that the game wants you to match the colored waveforms to the white outlines by twiddling the dials.

Anyway, I played about 12 rounds. It's cute, but I kept waiting to unlock a level where you're meant to reproduce the sound purely by ear instead of relying on the white outlines.

To think I'd find a use for all that experimenting I did with the Commodore 64's sound chip back decades ago. I can tell a triangle and sawtooth wave apart by ear!

Unplayable by me on iOS, couldn’t hear shit or find an OSC button or anything responsive. But willing to try desktop, keen on the concept.

I started with handclaps and got too involved with that to ever decipher how the fuck the pitch control works, but: I did do something!

It's been a while since I last played with it (I am so terrible at following through on anything music-related) but there is something that does this! It's called Syntorial and it's an educational tool to help people learn synth patch creation. It's pretty neat!

Interesting, chrominance. I'll have to try that out, thanks!
