She must love going to Star Wars conventions dressed as Slave Leia - shame all the attention would be from pale skinned, over weight, balding systems administrators in black combat trousers and Korn T shirts!

It's a much needed design improvement, robot johnny. There's very few things that couldn't be improved with the addition of boobs. With the exception of the cast of Barney Miller. But I digress...
There are several men I know who's adolescences and early adulthoods would've been made much more bearable had they encountered this chick. A hot star wars obsessive. It's like God read their minds.

While part of me knows that the girl in the pictures undoubtedly was paid for the shoot, another, happier part of me knows that there still are women out there that would wear this stuff. But yet another, darker part of me worries what the kinds of women who wear Leia Slave outfits at conventions would look like.

DBAPaul, you have class. On a similar note, she does a great job ignoring the Daredevil film and going for a classic interpretation of Elektra, but really, she should be reading the Frank Miller Daredevil and Elektra classics, not the new stuff. /geekout
soyjoy and dreamghost: LOL! milovoo: Oh my. Um, that's a bookmark.
Does she mention what she does for a living? I just wondered, because she's a great costume-maker and she, um, seems to have a lot of free time on her hands. Isn't obsession a beautiful thing? Nice muscle tone, by the way, especially on those legs.

orange swan, I had the same thought. There's some heavy airbrushing going on there, I think. The pictures themselves look odd, but the difference between the slave pictures and the others is pretty obvious.

To be perfectly frank...not horrible looking, but no one you'd look at twice outside a con. The Slave and Trooper pics have Photoshop written all over them; heavy chin retouching, skin smoothing, compare the surface of the face to the skin on the arm. The problem isn't that she's average looking, but that she acts like she's a knockout.
Pretty kick ass costumes, though.

She is a knock out.
The finishing work on the slave Leia pictures is over-done (as is the make-up), but she is gorgeous, even without photoshop (look at second picture on the second link). What is our world coming to when a good looking woman wouldn't be looked at "twice outside a con"? You do know that all models and actresses in print media are similarly "corrected", though by professionals with more skill. Maybe she's not your type, that happens. But we all have to stop seeing women and judging them against ideals that don't even exist.
She doesn't make such a good Trinity because that's a completely different body type - austere, even androngynous (which this woman is not). She would probably look amazing in a Lara Croft costume (since that fits her body type - wide shoulders, well endowed, muscular legs - based on looking at the Trinity pictures).

I'm not basing this person's worth on her looks, I think she's a really talented costume designer, and is probably a lot of fun to hang out with. But she is attempting to portray herself as an irresistible hottie when She isn't. I say it's fair to comment on it.
And yes, I do know that every one in print it well lit and retouched by professionals, but I see plenty of real women every day who are "uncorrected" and absolutely stunning. The physical ideal you claim to be nonexistent is quite real, if open to interpretation, and an important aspect in selecting a potential mate. Not THE most important of course; I'd put looks about fifth behind common interests, funniness, sanity and a compatible sex drive. But in my book, a Lamont Cranston nose combined with a chin that is difficult to distinguish from the neck disqualifies you from the Knock Out section.
