So, now that the Bush-ite's don't like him, is it OK for us to like him again?

Hmm, since the link won't load up, I'm guessing that Kid Rock has been dropped because he signs about humping and bitches and whatever?

jonmc, only if you liked him in the first place. I was on the fence and now that I know he's a GOP supporter, sorry, I'm off the fence and he's on the other side of it.

Awww man. I was hoping to hear Bush talk about family values and the sanctity of marriage and then get followed up by Kid Rock's inspiring lyrics.

fenriq, I was more wondering if he was going to become a cultural hero, on account of him being "oppressed," by the Bush regime. We can always hope this inspires Kid to do a Howard Stern and turn to the left.

No, jonmc, Kid Rock still sucks. Regardless of his political affiliation.

jonmc, an interesting thought. I think they'll win more supporters for removing him from the program but maybe some good can come of this.

He did have some decent songs and a pretty good video or two but he's just not my cup of tea, besides the greasy redneck thing is kind of a lame look that, I think, stems from laziness and poor personal grooming habits.

Which reminds, can the nation please stop wearing stupid trucker hats?

According to a Scripps-Howard report today, daughter Barbara helped arrange for JoJo and Hilary Duff to entertain, and "is still working on Kid Rock."

Truckers excepted, of course.

One things that's saddening is that Fred Durst has said that he's anti-Bush. I think we got the short side of the stick that time.

But I think mostly people get into music first and then pick up the politics, if they're interested. Someone should cook up a loud rap-metal guy who leans to the left to bring people in, maybe?

We can always hope this inspires Kid to do a Howard Stern and turn to the left.

Or we can hope people have a brain and couldn't care less what celebrities, and marginally talented ones at that, think about politics or world environment or fur.

On second thought, since the left has a hollywood lock and still loss, maybe there's no need to hope.

That would have been a nice image to see him at the Coronation singing "I'm a cowboy" while wiping his crotch with the flag. Oh well.

fenriq, You've given me this image of Kid Rock's Concert for the Deaf, where he signs about humping and bitches and whatever !

jonmc, Fred who? The name vaguely rings a bell but that's about it. Oh wait, was he one of those pathetically untalented losers who pretended to be black to sell records? Now I remember.

Anyway, Durst was probably actually trying to say that he likes his women to be clean-shaven so he's "Anti-Bush" and I'm only partially joking.

jefbla, they probably just read the title of his song "Cowboy" and thought he was a great act for the show. Then someone actually listened to the song.......

rfs, now that would be funny to witness. What's the sign for tube steak in the back door?

Exactly. I can't imagine that the first daughters have anything to do with this or that they really like Kid Rock. This was the president's marketing department looking for someone to appeal to the dirtball demographic that gave a lot of votes to the president. This will be confirmed when Mr. Rock's replacement is named and it's an interchangeable "artist" or Toby Keith.

The grits in my town liked AC/DC a lot. Do they still tour? I doubt that most of their American fans know their Australian, even when sober.

For some reason this makes me laugh so hard:

Another similar tune is "Wax the Booty."
