Pimp my Burger

Pimp My Burger. Burger King Germany produced a full-length parody of Pimp My Ride, right down to the before/after camera swipes, the theme song, and "4-inch buns." If all Pepsi Blue viral marketing campaigns were as well-done as this one, I don't think I'd complain about them as much.

What IS the story with Pepsi Blue? I tried it once and must concur with the Urban Dictionary definition that it is "Diarrhea mixed with blue food coloring".

You don't know how bad I want a tender chicken burger, now. but a BK Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch isn't going to cut it... I need it mit Mayonnaise oder flaming hot sauce!

I hate chicken burger region coding.

I could go for some, uh, milk & cookies.

shamefully, I am addicted to Pimp My Ride and I hope that sooner or later Mr. Xzibit will show up at my door to help me out with that.
in the meantime, I enjoyed the video: thanks for the link. BK is also my favorite provider of fatty, terribly unhealthy food, their poison is much better tasting than McDonald's or Wendy's

I will give BK credit, this is basically an nearly perfect parody of Pimp My Ride, and was somewhat humorous to watch. Even though its just one giant commercial.

Anyone that likes Pimp My Ride should check out Overhaulin on TLC. They do more than put a dvd player in your trunk and a blender in your dash. Overhaulin actually makes your car run.

Haven't watched the video yet, but I'm assuming if it's a Pimp My Ride parody, all they're going to do is put DVD players and a racing stripe on that burger. Maybe a spoiler.

A disgrace to the term "pimping". If they wanted to do it right they would have it overloaded with extraneous toppings. Not just some hot sauce.

FOR SHAME.

The Darius Rucker Cheddar Bacon Ranch commercial is mad genius. Pimp My Burger is pure "eh".

The first time i saw the Darius Rucker commercial I was in the middle of eating the actual sandwich, it was a magical experience.

Im surprised you thought this was worth posting. A pitch-perfect yet barely amusing parody of a totally irrelavant show, used as a commercial for a substandard product, in my opinion. But I guess I'm the minority.

viral adds get alot of buzz, but does that buzz generate into more sales?

I just read that T-Mobiles sales of their product Sidekicks went trough the roof after Paris Hiltons was hacked. It was probably staged so I guess some buzz generates sales.

The Darius Rucker Cheddar Bacon Ranch commercial is mad genius.

Great commercial. We caught some sort of extended version of that commercial one night about 2 weeks ago and immediately blurted out "Hootie!" before we knew what we were seeing. Then we just sat and stared at the TV with the same sort of wonderment and confusion seen when a toddler encounters soap bubbles for the first time. Towards the end my husband just shook his head, sighed and said "my how the mighty have fallen".

The Darius Rucker Cheddar Bacon Ranch commercial is mad genius:

I totally agree. So different and certainly rememberable (I'm humming the tune right now.) FUN and total escapism. I hear their sales have increased over 20%. Good job BK.
