PKD Android

It was only a matter of time before someone built a Philip K. Dick Android. And blogged about it. Don't you just love it when literature and meatspace collide?
Also, I have to ask -- does the guy intentionally screw up the height-width ratio of his pictures before putting them up on the blog? Ridley Scott he is not.

Some group... some sort of "Foundation," needs to build a combat-enabled Isaac Asimov android. Mecha-Asimov and this anemic Philip K. Dick robot can duke it out for supremacy. PKD was a great author, don't get me wrong.

More to the point, it begs the question, does it KNOW it's an android?
'Cause it would be REALLY funny if it didn't.

I'm not so sure PKD would be happy to know he's running on the .NET framework.

Or a Philip José Farmer clone that you can kill in the sure knowledge that it will come back to life on a random riverbank the next day.

Raises the question, people. But you knew that already.

No, really. Inquiring minds want to know:
Does it dream of electric sheep?

Thanks, signal! PKD is my favorite author by far. There is disappointingly little info from first link, but much better links from the blog though. One thing I found, one of the lead robot designers former projects in which he model from his girlfriend, here
I guess its an art that improves with time. Because PKD looks great. I can't wait for a scanner darkly in 2006.
