For some reason I thought I was looking at this from another website, and I thought "this would be a good thing to post on Metafilter."

Damn.

I like some of the swoon and jemenos stuff, but this is mostly worthless, isn't it?

Heh..I was thinking of saying something like that NinjaPirate. The cream of graffiti is great art. But there's always a lot more so-so exponents. And of course the worst part is that it is all forced on us. There's no escape button walking down the street.

OK, I've just checked through even more of the tags, just to make sure I wasn't being too much of a trad-culture ass.

NinjaPirate : "But if I ever see someone stencilling yet another Andre/obey I will use a spare can to spray their insides black"

I never really got why people were into spraypainting advertisements for that store anyway. Why "Obey" but no "Nike" or "Vivienne Westwood"?

I like the one that says "Act Natural!" I wish I could.

Enlighten me, please. How would a street artist create and apply the cat visual here?

it looks like it is printed on several poster-size sheets of paper and wheatpasted up.

Would you mind NEVER posting a single word text description which helps no one understand the contents of a link? Huh? Could ya? What is so hard about explaining what a link is in a few well chosen words?

bashos_frog, how could he print such a large image? What would he use to break down the image into its separate poster-size bits?

... Photoshop? Or any number of similar software packages that can break up large images and print them on mulitple shets?
