I'd like to point out that as a completely not "awwwwww" kind of guy, I saw this and went awwwww and have been passing this link around for the last two days.

I even added some text to the flying squirrel (or whatever) that says "EMAIL POUNCE" for no other reason than to email to random people and CONQUER THEM WITH CUTE.

The pangolin is definitely cool. It might win in the cuteness category, and maybe even the oddness category, but I'm sticking with my surly ratel. I especially liked this comment on the ratel page:

Ratels are notoriously bad-tempered. They're one of the few animals that will literally throw a tantrum. They do the works, rolling on the ground, growling at nothing, throwing things. I saw one throwing a really good one on a doco once because it had lost its mousey snack somewhere in a small log. It got so angry it started banging the log on the ground and kicking it, then it rolled around snarling in fury that it had been thwarted by a mouse. I think they're awesome!

I am seriously worried that I am a horrible grumpy person because I didn't enjoy this. Those sort of levels of cute are just TOO MUCH for me. It actually left me feeling a bit queasy. Maybe I'm just not an animal lover. I can't bear cutesy kittens. OK, you can start throwing things now (ducks). Actually, please don't throw any ducks.
