The Four Rooms of Kharon

"Someone messed it up bad. The world went to pieces. It was dog eat dog and everyone for himself. Along came an unlikely hero. You....The future can be saved. The knowledge is inside the Four Rooms of Kharon." From the info page: "Kharon 4a is an online adventure game dealing with biotech issues. The makers of the game have worked closely with the Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board during the creative process - to ensure the scientific validity of the game content. So, having played Kharon 4a, you will be left with not only an interesting and entertaining online experience, but you will also be familiar with the most imporant aspects of bio technology." They also warn that it's "the hardest Flash game ever made" and that you'll probably give up after five minutes.
Worst Flash interface ever? Probably not, but you decide. After 15 minutes of useless mousing-over and clicking: not interesting, not entertaining. But I lasted more than five minutes!

I like how they manage to give a 3d feel with 2d images. Other than that, I lasted like 1min.

The reason it's hard is because the interface is terrible. It's like bragging that your car is hard to drive.
Games with hard puzzles are great... games with difficult interfaces are not.

Nope.
Way before that.

I got to "The lightswitch is right behind you" and gave up when I realized that this helped me exactly zilch.
Apparently, the future is very, very dark and people rather invest in "holographic eyes" than an effing flashlight.

Wow, I never knew bio technology could be so boring.

I remember playing this a while back, but I got stuck at some canister, or possibly draining water or something. Nothing was quite as frustrating as the light switch thing, though.
Unless you count the ENTIRE INTERFACE.

It is rather silly, but they did try. I actually spent almost 25 minutes wanting to like it. Though it isn't hard at all, in fact it is very easy; I appear to have completed at least a third to a half of the game in that time. Shame about the mediocre interface and flawed understanding of point-and-click fun, because it probably took someone a lot of effort.
