Spoilsbury Toast Boy -2 (nsfw)
Can this thing load any slower? Looks interesting, can't wait, maybe sometime tomorrow I'll find out what it is.

Has anyone seen/read Naked Lunch? I bet the creator has.

eh, not as creepy as his other stuff, particularly saladfingers. Still good though. I could have done without the vaginal cream.

The sexual stuff weakened the rest of it, if you ask me. Which you didn't.

ColdChef: yeah, it pulls from 'creepy dystopian vision' to 'gross-out'. The former requires intelligence and art; the latter is adolescent.

I liked it though! I could totally sit through more of that, like an hour-long thing… but it seems that there was no redemption to be had, no strike against the oppressors musterable, so maybe there's not much point in lengthening it out.

Some English artists always have to ruin perfectly good things with unnecessary raunch. This was insanely good ... but then they had to go and ruin it with the ass-fuckings and the "gash" part. Really, the cartoon was good enough without that stuff. It was like dystopian future-retro Edward Gorey.
Profanity and what not doesn't offend me, but that boyish need to shock among fans of Aphex Twin and the whole Saatchi Gallery crowd is tiresome.
What a shame.

Yes - we're all certainly very grown up here on Metafilter, Mr Occupation-Listed-As-Turd-Producer....
I thought it was great and, since I'm lying here in bed with a cold, am certainly seeing my mucus in a different light; I wonder if it does have a certain degree of intelligence....

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but Firth's animations always feel as though they were ripped out of my dreams; particularly SBTB and Ptikobj. Though I do agree that the sexual bits in this one sort of ruined the rest of it.

Salad Fingers is probably one of the best animated series on the internets. I haven't gotten into Firth's other stuff, though.

Having now watched a couple of dozen things on this site, I can say definitively that this guy has issues.
Pointless murder and ass-fuckings (usually in that order) are a frequent theme. Enough so that a perfectly good sinister cartoon can generally be counted upon to become predictable through the addition of these elements.
As mentioned above, Ptikobj (which doesn't have or need them) is wonderful. Shit, I'm trapped in your guitar, like!
