Literature finds Myspace: loner “Loudon Dreps” is using the notoriously illiterate social networking tool as a portal for literary brilliance. His hermit-blogs are enchanting, long-winded, quirky and completely, deliciously out of place.

Is this all that uncommon? I don't spend a lot of time on MySpace, but my corner of it is far from illiterate, with plenty of contacts posting lengthy, well-written criticism/fiction &c. (That's not to say that this guy's weblog there isn't interesting, I just don't think it's as out of place on MySpace as the general sterotype of dayglo profiles full of leetspeak suggests.)
