Not the policies that the congress must reverse but the policies that must be implemented.

Not only will history judge the United States, the world is judging us now. The verdict is in. Even Ameri-kan RepubliCANS can no long ignore the facts and for us all, as never before, silence IS compliance.

Stop this activity, ban that activity, close these facilities-- why, we could just handle this through tax cuts. Come on, Congress, the how about the usual deal? You cut the programs and the refund check, I ignore the redistricting and the lobbycoddling.

And I was just re-reading the Bill of Rights last night.

That must be why I thought this was a double post.

I'm not seeing anything on that list about buying me ice cream.

I don't see anything on there about the American people growing some brains and balls.

I don't see anything about the NYT and the rest of the media growing some brains and balls either.

Everything the administration did wrong was allowed by the people. There's plenty of shame to go around.

Brandon, I absolutely agree that some Americans need to grow brains. Then perhaps people like you will remember/learn that a majority of us voted for Gore. It was in the news for weeks after the election; I'm sure with a modicum of online research you could acquaint yourself with the facts. Many of us have been protesting a war in Iraq from moment Dubya started talking about it, which, had you been paying attention, you'd know was before September 11th.

If you'd could wean yourself from the "fair and balanced" Fox "news" programs for a half hour, I suggest tuning into a program like "Democracy Now" which has been consistently opposed to the war in Iraq. They were soundly criticized for their stance in the beginning, and now many people have come to agree with them. You could see for yourself that some media outlets do have "brains and balls."

Doesn't Dubya himself talk about "not playing the blame game?" It takes coconuts to admit you yourself were duped. Just don't try to tell us in the vocal opposition that we share in your "shame."

Dinzie,

I was on Gore's side in 2000. Your assumptions are completely off.

Anyway, the majority voted for Bush in 2004. Hence the comment about the American people needing grow some brains.

This
is just one example that says otherwise. The evidence of the '04 election being stolen looks alot more convincing then even that of the '00. people have good reason to feel politically impotent in the u.s.

Good point. It's still astonishing that so many people did vote for Bush.

“not to nitpick, but clinton was responsible for that one.”

Think Clinton II will repeal it? Yeah, she’ll be all over it I betcha.

Consider - we’ve had Bush for 4 years, then Clinton for 8, than another Bush for 8, now we’re looking at potentially another 4 to 8 years from the same family.
That there’s democracy is it?
But oh, we had some MAJOR changes in policy once everyone voted democrat, right?
Maybe we do some more shaking out of the old guards something will change. Maybe. But it’s somewhat unrealistic to expect politicians to give up power without a serious kick in the (metaphoric) ass.

The fact that someone felt that this list, which seems to me to be a really long statement of the obvious, needed to be spelled out scares me even more than the infractions it details.

Do people really not notice this shit?
