You're sure he doesn't just have epilepsy?

I hope it doesn't stunt his growth.

(Actually, I'm kind of hoping it does.)

Makes me worry about his little neck snapping. But it was adorable, nevertheless.

I think that would be Booginsroc, "the world's most talented toddler" (allegedly). Daddy Types had an interview with his father:

7 months later he started reacting to beats and timing his movements with the music, around that time he also started to crawl. He quickly developed a deep love for the music [not rap or hip hop, which we don't dance to, but old school funk and motown.] He would listen to hours of music and try different floor movements, but mainly he was just learning how his body worked...

That slickly-produced Cisco ad running in the States during basketball games about the warm fuzzies the world will be sharing because somebody's uploading their kid's hip-hop moves has turned out to be not even slightly hyperbolic. Well, maybe the assumption that the video quality would be any good.

All we need now is a Flickr photo of Japanese teenagers, German businessmen, and Buddhist monks pointing and laughing at their cellphones, palmtops and laughtops. And a little more branding.

It would've been cute if he was just running around and squirming on the floor to the music, but since he's clearly attempting to pull of particular breakdancing moves, it's adorable.

Well, I don't really know if it's amazing. Certanly cute thought. If he keeps up he probably will be pretty amazing in a couple years.

His parents put a rock in his pocket and the kid is just trying to stand up.

To paraphrase Samuel Johnson, the amazing thing is not how well it's done, but that it is done at all.

Well, I definitely thought that was amazing. That little rascal is obviously a child dance prodigy and expresses a delightful abandon in his joyful creativity. Thanks!

Previously. It seems the trend for toddlers and really young kids bustin' tha' moves is going around the planet, Filipino, Korean. Merry Crunkmas. What I really love is the whole new way kids do acrobatics, climbing (buildering), gymnastics, martial arts, Le Parkour, all combined in a balletic agility and grace that is awesome, fiercely beautiful.

Clearly I'm in the wrong profession — shoulda been an orthopedic surgeon.

That's not a toddler. It's a monkey of some sort. And it's retarded.

"Amazing"? He's terrible. His technique is incredibly sloppy, his mechanics are virtually neolithic, and he seems to have inner ear problems. Any accomplished breakdancer, such as myself, can tell you that this kid is an embarassment to his craft.

In conclusion, babies are dumb and can't do stuff good.

This is nothing. I know a fetus that is great at curling.

This is some kind of Web two point fucking oh evolution of refridgerator art.

And it's fucking awesome. I hope that kid doesn't totally torque himself out growing up, but he seems to be handling it just fine, and I remember playing 10-100 times as rough as a kid and scooting all over the floor on my head and/or butt, and that vinyl dance floor is seriously padded.

He's so cute, and talented, even though he has a little trouble maintining his equilibrium upon standing. I hope the little guy goes far!
posted by WaterSprite at 5:58 PM on March 26, 2007

He's lousy at breakdancing.

However, he's fucking great at capoeira.
Probably his dad just didn't recognize his genius and mislabelled it.
