The little 5-second cowboy clip at the end made the whole thing worth it. But just barely.

Releasing the latest album online - not as an mp3 file, but as a Word Document? Not so underground - underground would be OpenOffice ;)

I'm an emo prairie dog...cutting myself.

I like the video, because I have to interact with those types of people at school.

And I agree, the emo prairie dog bit at the end was awesome.

More from the Ronnie John's Half Hour, the excellent show this was taken from. Go Australia!

I hope you are riffing on the theme of the joke. If not you should just pretend you are.

macmac writes "The little 5-second cowboy clip at the end made the whole thing worth it. But just barely."

The bulk of the five-second clip was meh, but the bit where he mimes a prairie dog cutting himself -- now that's pretty underground.

It reminds me of Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues by Todd Snider

I got a pretty good chuckle at the "releasing it as a Word document", too. Made it very clear to my coworker in the cube next to me that I'm goofing off.

Thanks for the morning laugh.

The Word document bit was indeed extremely funny.

Great clip, thanks.

Hmm, never heard of this show. I have a friend in Adelaide who has sent me a pile of John Safran's shows, plus Double The Fist and assorted documentaries. Think I'll harass him into sending some of this in AVI.

(Depressing that Mr. Franklin can say "fuck" over and over again, in a TV comedy skit, while in America even Comedy Central programs are edited to be about as naughty as kiddie cartoons. Aussies have far more entertaining TV, though it tends to be more cheaply produced. That country sucks in other ways, though....)

Enjoyed that cooler-than-thou one-upmanship, thanks.

Yeah, I was OK until I got to the Word document bit and then the giggles took over. That kid nailed that line, not that it wasn't funny to begin with.

Their cocaine skit was also pretty funny.

That's nothing. I had their pre-demo dubplate/.lzh release, where it would just spit the data to screen once and then eat itself, agrippa-style.

Ronnie John's reminds me of 80's British comedy sketches, which is not neccessarily a bad thing.

A bit of a curate's egg, though.

'That's pretty underground' works as a catchphrase for me.
