Everyone knows Robert Fisk is a journoterrorist who hates our freedom!

By the way, everyone should read his The Great War For Civilisation.

I suppose your right to say whatever I want you to say, and will lay down your life if necessary for you to say it.

Fisk is great - I've actually read most of his last book (skipping the odd chapter is the subject wasn't of particular interest to me). He's smart and he knows his shit - more importantly he actually lives and breathes in the places he writes about. He doesn't sit holed up in a hotel and collect news from fixers in the hotel lounge.

Supporters of the war(s) don't much care for him but it's hard to disagree with his conclusions when he backs them up with a couple hundred years of history and the lessons our brave leaders have failed to learn from.

More Fisk, slightly mindblowing for the open minded.

From blue_beetle's Google Video link:

"I will not let 19 murderers change my world, and neither should you"

This is a fantastic lecture. I'm glad I happened to have the time free to watch it.
