Delay: US and Israel must enjoy second coming
"Other conference attendees were quick to note that Muslims are satanic, and that the anti-Christ would most likely be a "man of peace.""

Since the world is just on the brink of being about to end, they don't need to vote anymore, right?

If the LOLZXTIAN contingency ever bothers to RTFA, we'd learn Delay is really talking about multiple orgasms.

I have never witnessed any spectacle as politically extreme, outrageous, or bizarre as the one Christians United for Israel produced last week...
clearly dude has never seen a gay pride parade.

...and last week he was "exposing" the hypocrisy of college Republicans. Just for once, I'd like to see him report on a target that isn't the broad side of a barn.

quonsar: pride parades may go to 11 on the bizarremeter, but I bet this group has 'em beat hands down on the "polically extreme" scale. Probably just edged out gay pride parades. But just.

Blumenthal's narration is consistently insufferable.

The funny thing is that the rapture is not talked about anywhere in the New Testament. It was invented by a scottish minister in 1834.

Slactivist is a good blog if you're interested in this sort of thing, it's by a liberal evangelical, and it really explains the whole crazy eschatology these guys have.

Can you give some examples? I don't hear a lot of narration.

I thought the rapture had already happened. Evidence: I was in a parking lot last week where I found an empty car whose license plate frame read "In case of rapture, this car will be unmanned."
After I had recovered from the sheer hubris in that statement, I checked, and indeed, it was unmanned. Surely that's evidence enough.

these folks are clearly deranged and lack the insights and perpspective of a sharp Marxist analysis and a real leftist approach to making our world so much better than it is. Let's take to the streets and denounce capitalism and a market economy and bring about a better world. What time to we meet? Who brings the beer?

Tom Delay on the 'End Times': "obviously, it's what I live for, I hope it comes tomorrow."
I find myself in amazed agreement; I hope the End Times come for Delay tomorrow as well.
Weird.

I don't hear a lot of narration.
It's that smug voice of faux-concern evident mostly in his other videos. It sounds like third-rate Michael Moore to me.

Sometimes I wish that televangelists would just fucking die. Real "wrath of God smiting them" shit would be cool, but a massive coronary is enough to do the job - whatever the Universe needs to smack the the hell down.
The thing that sucks about it is that, if they did die, they'd just be loved even more by the deluded crowds of sheep that follow them.
Any person so warped by religion that he/she doesn't see the hypocrisy of Church-owned shopping malls, amusement parks, and the like, well, damn. I just don't understand how they can claim to follow the teachings of Christ and yet seem to so totally and completely not get a single damn thing he is supposed to have said.

A friend of mine grew up on a kibbutz on the plains of meggido, which a lot of folks believe to be the armageddon spoken of in the bible. Anyhoo, I guess he and his fellow kibbutznicks loved to watch the Christians that would come out to the plain. He said they spent a lot of time with big purple flags...running back and forth.

Yeah, obviously the only real choices we have are following a bunch of snake handling racist fucktards or falling in line with Stalin.
