MSIE leaves the door wide open on your Windows OS... I can't believe that the myriad "security holes" are coincidental... maybe we should call them back doors. I mean, really... who do they think they're kidding? We all know who really wants surreptitious access to our systems. [via Glish]
Make sure you read this article before installing. The patch install may report that you don't need it, when in fact, you do.

this would be the perfect way for microsoft to institute the "forced upgrade" a la ReplayTV. make up some story about a huge security hole in a microsoft product (yeah i know, hard to believe) and then tell everyone they must download the patch immediately. who knows what that patch is really doing?
