People in Order - Age. Love. By Lenka Clayton and James Price.

In 2006, artists Lenka Clayton and James Price traveled across Britain, shot video portraits, and made four short films. The other two are portraits of women throughout stages of pregnancy and portraits of homes based on income level. (Sadly, I can't find these films online.)

Clayton and Price have also collaborated on Conversation, a short about first impressions.

People in Order was part of the Portable Film Festival.

I don't want to work; I just want to bang on the drum all day!

Ah, shit. I'm dying. Alone. And slow.

Just watched the "Love" clip, and it was really well put together I thought. The last (shortest?) couple made me LOL.

Would you rather die quickly in a large group of people? 'Cause that would suck too.

But I love you, kingfisher, his musclebound cat. In fact, I think you're amazing.

[And spec 80, that Age video was something else. The last scene made me laugh out loud, then startled me back to silence.]

Wow, wow, wow. Great videos. Loved 'em both.

Age: Only thing I want to say with this one (despite "awesome") is that I thought it was amusing that the little kids were probably better behaved than the older (80+) folks. You can imagine the director saying "Just say your age and bang the drum" to which some of the older people went "Did I ever tell you about the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville? I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ‘em. ‘Give me five bees for a quarter,’ you’d say. Oh yeah, by the way... I'm 90." *bangs drum* "Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time..."

Love: Coming up on three years with my girlfriend (now my fiancee), it was heartening to see that not only were the couples who had been together for donkey's years seem happy and still in love, the three year couples sort of mirrored the happiness she and I share. But wow, what an absolutely charming video that was. Made me smile.

Thanks for sharing these spec80! Awesome post!
