God-Man

Every couple of months I remember to catch up with Tom the Dancing Bug via the archives at Salon. I prefer Billy Dare to God-Man, but that is possibly due to my soft spot for Boy Detective juvenile fiction.

I was just cleaning out my office this morning and found an old God-Man comic clipping from at least 12 years ago. What a coincidence.

It was Double Danger, 11 years ago.

Nice post (and on preview, thanks interrobang). I have a real soft spot for Dinkle the unlovable loser.

Holy crap! Double Danger is listed as "Double Trouble - the lost second adventure." I'll have to scan mine and send it to Salon.

Thank you for the link, interrobang. I'm going to spend the afternoon saving all the Super Fun Pack Comix.
Oh, and everybody Wang Chung tonight.

That would be awesome, unless you mean this.

This is definitely my favorite. The people who try to sell the idea that fossils are some kind of cosmic test have always cracked me up. Ahhh... Christians.
Good stuff.

That's the one. But mine is definitely from 1997, so I guess they reran the 'lost' one 5 years later.

My favorite Tom the Dancing Bug regular feature is the Comix Corner. That is all.

It's so hard to pick just one favorite, but I guess this would be it. I think partly because one frame reminds me of one of my favorite Parking Lot is Full cartoons.
Lucky duck, the Education of Louis, Lucky Ducky, God-Man, Super Fan Pack Comix ... the only problem is it's a weekly strip rather than daily.

I like God-Man, but he'd be no match for Angel Summoner and BMX Bandit.

I used to have "The Potential Menace Of Energy Man" tacked up on a cubicle wall at an old job. Still makes me crack a smile...
