Flash Friday: Auditorium

Auditorium is a musical flash game where you influence a stream of particles with gravity-based nodes. A steady stream of particles past a collector enables a layer of music. Good fun! Via Jay is Games
At higher levels there seems to be less forgiveness with the flow-meters. Jay is Games has a good dissection of the gameplay.

Grobstein, that may just be the curve through 2--Act 3 starts to get trickier. I think it's balanced well.
Definitely a fun, relaxing pick and what Friday Flash Fun is all about.

For 3:4 - split the stream with the arrow. Put the attractor on the right.
3:5 is just as bad - haven't cracked it yet.

Weird, it's just an empty gray box for me. Flash 10 in FF3 in Ubuntu 8.10.

This game makes me very unhappy when I can't complete it, for some reason. I canna make the music flow, cap'n!

Ooh. This is nice. For 3:4 I couldn't figure out how to split the beam with the arrow, so I split the beam with the attractor instead (putting it to attract the top half of the beam) and then having the arrow inside the attractor sphere. Worked too. I love it when puzzle games like this are solvable in more than one way.

There need to be more games like this. By which I mean, good ones. :3
But this is just excellent. It reminds me of -- dare I say -- Flow. Same great mix of frustration and zen.

Very fun game. I beat 3:6 by only using the two attractors, splitting the beam in half to each side. No need for the right pointing piece.

I wonder if the victory conditions aren't a little too forgiving. I think the difficulty would be better-calibrated if the the little flow-meters needed more flow to fill up, or emptied out more quickly. But it's so gorgeous and delightful that it's fun anyway.
