Introduction to NTK

Introduction to NTK Once self-described as a "Telegraphic Gentlman's Newsweekly", NTK is a treasure trove of interesting links. This is an interview with one of the founders. I subscribe and contribute to it, and look forward to reading it every Saturday morning - in Australia.

I agree with your sentiment on NTK. I think that your link got mangled (no need for HTML in the link field).

Also let's not forget to mention that MetaFilter got a mention in this week's issue re: KayCee:

"MetaFilter (which, in a sympathy attack, decided to not exist itself this week, vanishing off the Net at its most popular point ever) "

Let's not forget they call themselves "*the* weekly high-tech sarcastic update for the uk".

That sarcasm is very important.

If you ever need to know what's going on in IT, NTK is your fellow, particularly their metacoverage of the RIP Bill (public policy based on the fact that the government have no idea what the hell is going on on the internet, but have decided, in the immortal words of Grouch Marx, "Whatever it is. I'm against it", or to paraphrase the Bishop in The Missionary, "go out there, find out what they are doing and stop them").

And they review confectionery occasionally, too.

I still find NTK almost impossible to read, as much as I like the content whenever I can see it through the migraine the typography gives me.

Get it emailed, rodii.

And one of the nicest things about my time in the US is that I get NTK in the middle of the afternoon, rather than having to delay a Friday night out while waiting for Danny, Dave and Lee to give it that final proofread.

I read it most weeks. I thought it had already been mentioned or I would have brought it up myself.

it's a quality mag, and yes, much better in your inbox. The sad groupie thing to do is read the old ones and see how it's changed from a magazine into a collection of links with funny bits next to them (yes, he says that in the interview but I noticed it first :-] ).

Oh, and has anyone got an NTK t-shirt? I've got the iMachiavellian one, and very nice it is too.

It does help if you get it in a fixed width font for readability. Also, if it's late there is usually an excuse.

Erm, broken l;ink above. Should have been ntkmark.com. The shame, the horror. (ok I missed out the trailing slash).
