Chris Al-Aswad, gone at 31

Chris Al-Aswad, founder of the online arts journal Escape Into Life and author of the arts blog The Blog of Innocence, has passed away at age 31.

He was an active poster on Twitter at @escapeintolife and @blogofinnocence. He also posted on Tumblr, and published the Blog of Innocence podcast.

Twitter users are posting tributes with the hashtag TYCHRIS.

I never heard of him before, but it's always sad when someone that young dies. He's a few years younger than me, too-- creepy.

What did he die of? I checked out all the links, and nothing was mentioned.

As far as I know, his family isn't releasing details about how he died. You can see the obituary here.

Ah, no. How awful. He was so young, and Escape into Life has become a really wonderful place for creative folks to shine. :(

my assumption is he committed suicide?

When I am not exhausted I'll take the time to read his blog, so far it seems promising.
