Ahhhh Gijs.. Totally insane and amazing. I stood a couple feet from the stage, deeply questioning reality, as he performed at Blip Festival 2007 in NYC. Probably the most mindblowing act of the weekend, and that's saying something, considering Loud Objects essentially played the soldering iron (building a synthesizer on stage, on an overhead projector, using a Sonic the Hedgehog ROM chip) and Paza Rahm shredded on circuitbent "animal sound" toys while wearing a surgical mask. Dear God.

Loud Objects, soldering live - the video is more of an engaging presentation of a live show than something to watch and understand how they did what they did.

What's going on with his background? Is it there some kind of referer [sic] stuff going on, or it does it always say "metafilter.com"all over it?

aubilenon, if I understand the source code, it is actually a javascript-generated image, based on the page referral.
