"Fantastic Journal is a blog about architecture, design and other things too," written by Charles Holland, a director of London-based FAT.

Recent posts have covered the history of Villa Müller to discuss architecture and change; the modern reconstruction of lost buildings; the Ramsgate International Hoverport; an exploration of scale miniatures; and a plea for architects to stop entering design competitions. The archives stretch back to 2004.

Thanks! This will keep me busy for days. I'd love to be in his classes at Canterbury. Don't care so much about miniatures, but the other essays are really interesting - particularly the Villa Muller entry.

"... The ultimate dream of architecture is to be left free of the burdens of use and occupation, and to become a kind of tomb, or a monument to itself..."
