Seppukuties, putting the kyoot into ritual suicide

Aw look, another cute flash game. Help the sweet lil' doe-eyed bunnies, monkeys, and their friends get to the promised land after a big bad cigar-chomping human came and chopped down their forest. It's so sweet. Until you hit the shift button and Thumper slowly pulls out a knife and takes one for the team. Play SeppuKuties (flash).

Kongregate version with badges here, for those that prefer it that way.

Loved the ending.

Cute.

There's something especially satisfying about using the corpse of one of your cute little animals as a springboard for the next.

Okay, that was awesome. I love when they commit seppuku, because I'm twisted like that. And the ending is very funny.

That's actually quite cool. I love the way the total number of animals is constant, meaning you'll probably have to go back and replay some levels in a less wasteful manner to complete the game. As usual, I wish it weren't implemented in Flash, though, since it is a fairly complex game with some proper physics simulation, and Flash was not designed for this sort of thing, and does it badly with huge resource waste.

Yeah, this one is fun. I can't imagine actually getting to the end on just five deaths, though. Has anyone done it, do you get a special ending?

You don't get anything special for getting through in only five deaths except a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I feel like a cynical grump for saying this, but I saw the ending coming from a mile away. Still cute though.

Getting through without dying is mostly a matter of taking advantage of the physics engine to complete the levels in ways that deviate slightly from the most obvious route, plus a lot of tricky platform jumping. The only real devious bit is the level where you need to make a "bridge" across the spikes, and beating that one in a single death requires planting a corpse near the exit via seppuku and then jumping onto it once you collect the key that reveals the spikes.

If you're truly ocd about it you can bring the total number down to four, but that requires a lot of luck and abusing the physics engine on the level where you ride the huge cart across. (I tried that enough to see it was possible and decided I was quite content with five deaths.)

CheshireCat: Nice... I never would've come up with that bridge solution. Thanks to you, I got all my pawprints. :) Also, your suspicion about the cart is confirmed.
