Maud Newton: Culture, politics and of course, literature, come together in one seriously cool, intelligent blog for the hip humanities fan. And yes, hip humanities fans exist.
Wow. You have to assure us that "hip humanities fans exist?" I'd say languagehat is a good example of a hip humanities fan. But really, when did art, music, literature, history and philosophy become Guy Lombardo? Science, sports, computers and medicine may be useful, but they ain't hip. posted by Faze at 7:26 AM on January 30, 2011 [1 favorite]

Humanities major here. (Yes, there is -- or at least was -- such a thing as a BA in humanities!)
Oh man! They forgot my favorite, Heteronomous starring Adam freaking Kotsko, boy genius of theology and the humanities.
I was completely psyched when I found out he accepted a teaching position at Kalamazoo College - right before I moved away to Memphis. Ah well, his blog rocks. posted by Baby_Balrog at 11:19 AM on January 30, 2011
