This is a game about breeding flowers. Each flower's traits are determined by its genes. Pick two flowers and their genes combine to create new variations. There is no aim in this game... Feel free to set yourself one. -- Rare Breeds: Petunia. (Flash.) posted by Gator (44 comments total) 22 users marked this as a favorite

Enjoyable for the bird twittering alone. Made me really miss summer.

Gentle and enjoyable. The wallpaper generation is pleasantly simple - after a few minutes I had something that reminded me of my old Japanese brush painting lessons of orchids crossbred with stemmed origami cranes and pink shells.

This reminds me of Plant Tycoon.

I like Coign of vantage. You have to rotate pictures until they fit. Not as easy as it sounds.

I managed to make a bizarre half-round half-hexagonal flower, and then started over and managed to get a bright red flower that looks like a radiation warning. Whee.

I got a black delta shaped flower. Who knew that the first Stealth planes were grown in a garden?

Very fun, thanks.

If you drag your flour to the doctor dish in the right hand corner you generate a code that can be copy/pasted to share your designs.

This is my stripy try at a complete circle that despite dozens of generations I can't get rid of the wedge at the bottom:

I had pretty good results with pairing "ugly" plants that had one interesting feature with "pretty" plants that had all of the stuff I'd been selectively choosing in the previous generations. At least one of the children always seems to have a good mix of the interesting ugly features, and the more pleasing pretty features.

Nevermind. That's what it gives you for anything that's not properly formatted.

Proper format is three hexadecimal numbers separated by x's.

I was able to get some nice snowflakes by munging up some random text and forcing it into the right format:
