My mom has worked as a Hollywood publicist for 30 years or so, and when I was a kid I ended up with tons of press kits, credits cards (which they used to give out at screenings before IMDB--basically a glossy letter-sized card with art on the front and the (nearly?) full credits on the back), and years' worth of Fangorias and Starlog magazines--all of which I think I still have at her apartment in NYC. Seeing these makes me want to haul them up to Boston and pore over them all again. I'm sure my mother would like that very much, too.
The drive-in movie ads alone are (heh) worth the price of admission.

Yes! The intertubes deliver much goodness yet again. Thanks for this. posted by Phlegmco(tm) at 7:42 AM on July 5, 2011
As a horror fan, I like the concept, but this site tantalizes. The site is a list of dead-ends when it provides no information about the source of an image, whether that source be film, print, or something else.
Not to rag on Tumblr, but that's sort of their wheelhouse: eye-catching images that can be easily retumbled by others, also free of context. You're not looking for click throughs with this blog format, basically. posted by codacorolla at 9:06 AM on July 5, 2011
...But when click-throughs DO turn out to be there, it's a pretty awesome bonus. posted by hermitosis at 9:24 AM on July 5, 2011
