If the Academy Awards montages were anything near as awesome as this, I'd probably go back to watching the telecast.

Ever since Marie Antoinette used Ceremony for the trailer editors realized it was the perfect song for lots of cuts of related things.

I'm not knocking, it is built for that purpose. I just hope I can enjoy hearing it s'more until it gets overused.

Seriously, their montages are almost never this good.

I also like how it fit the classic act structure Things are Happening/Great! And Then a Complication! A Mistake! The Low point! Resolve the conflict with Punching and/or Hitting! Happy!

Amen. I can't tell you how relieved I am that How Soon Is Now and Where Is My Mind are no longer the movie trailer song flavor of the year.

I swear to God I just found out that the only new movie I saw this year was Gnomeo and Juliet (3D). Man I need to make some serious changes in my life...

I at least recognized most of them (I watch too many movies) but the animated one with the black couple in the car escapes me.

No, it was "Age of Consent."

i liked this. Though it made me realize how few movies I've seen in a theater since my daughter was born. Damn.

This seems to be a very popular thing.

Damn I love a good montage. I was feeling a bit cynical today and this just reminded me of how many movies I really want to see. Any montage that excites you want to see more movies is a good one. Thanks!

Is there anywhere that lists the major movies that came out this year, along with trailers?

Me too, but from the big list above I determined it's Chico & Rita.

Love the Deadmau5 track at the end. Great post.

US only, blocked by EMI elsewhere. Any alternatives?
