That Iron Man cover is what I looked like on the morning of January 1st.

Kerry Callen's site, previously (not a double, just more from the same artist).

The Dark Night Returns cover is an improvement on the original.

I know I saw something in that flash of lightning. A man, I think. I think it was a man. Dressed like Dracula. About nine feet tall.

The Calvin and Hobbes one is so sweet.

I was expecting awkward cosplay from the link description, but this is much better. Thanks!

I shouldn't be giggling at the Iron Man bobblehead. I shouldn't be giggling at the Iron Man bobblehead. I shouldn't be giggling at the Iron Man bobblehead.

The Calvin and Hobbes one is so sweet.

I found it downright creepy. It's supposed to be my imagination that makes Hobbes move!

I really enjoyed these. The Dark Knight gif totally changes the cover for the better. Spidey is awesome, so simple, yet the gif adds so much. And I'll never look at Aquaman the same again...

I, also, was expecting awkward cosplay.

I demand awkward cosplay!

As a joshreads follower, I just assume that in the Amazing Spiderman cover, Spidey was hang around the apartment in his costume when he flooded the bathroom and he just doesn't have the will to escape.

*dons leotard*

*strikes pose*

*falls off building*

*lands in vat of radioactive waste*

*emerges dripping glowing green snot*

Hear me, Metafilter! I am no longer the woman you knew! Now... and forever... I am Kleenex!!!

*takes flight*

*still looks godawful in leotard*

Oh, are we revealing our secret identities here? In that case, I am The Procrastinator!

One of these days, I'll get around to making a costume.

At first, I thought the Nick Fury cover was going to trigger a seizure. Then I realized that was just the activation signal for my programmed compulsion to kill. Nice work, MetaFilter; you triggered my rampage years before my Masters' plans were ready....

On the other hand, I was expecting completely awesome cosplay.

And I'll admit that I'm actually Colonel Fishfucker, scourge of the seven seas.

I call myself Anti-Matter Annihilator Lad, because I can annihilate about 80 kilograms of anti-matter just by touching it.

Once.

I really like Kerry Callen's work. Apart from the previously-linked post, there's this, this and this.

Oh, plus this christmas cover (as an explanation, the head of hair on the bottom right belongs to Black Widow).

The Nick Fury one is awesome, and deserves more love. So many different parts animated in different ways.
