the movie must contain: kittens

Finite Films takes your idea for movie constraints and turns the favourites into short films. For example: "One character must use refrigerator poetry magnets to leave a note/message for another character", "One character loves vacuuming naked", or "One used to drive a moped until it was stolen".

• One character must always use a window instead of a door, including cars.

If that won't make Great Art, what will?

I think I've seen that film before...

Damn, I submitted, "One character must hold a purring cat," without adding, "and attempt to scan it."

These are pretty great. I don't know why I like them so much, but I do. Nice post. (Was slightly annoyed by the "the LHC could end the world" plotline in one, but that's definitely forgivable.)

Reminded me a lot of The Five Obstructions, so much so that I did a search to see if that was what had inspired them. Apparently, though, the project creators hadn't heard of TFO until someone asked them about it in their Reddit Q and A thread. (The Five Obstructions is a great film, BTW--if you like this, you should watch it.)

Neat idea--thanks for the link!

I'm going to put in "one character must overthink a plate of beans".

Oh hey, one of my constraints got picked for voting for their next film - not the plate of beans one, sadly, but "A character is a major fan of someone who has been dead a while, but is unaware of their death. ".
