This is a great way to do this kind of scholarship. Makes me wish I had a big stack of famously annotated books within reach.

Markson's obit thread on the blue (the "previously 2" link) was what got me to finally pony up my five bucks and join Metafilter. It was a sad thing to see his book collection divvied up post mortem, so I'm thrilled to get a chance to at least peek at some of the marginalia. I'll dive into this tumblr just as soon as I finish reading Vanishing Point for the billionth time.
