Draw Me In is comic fan Jeff's quest to be a background extra in various comic series - perhaps as ubiquitous as the mystery hipster cops?

It helps that he's pretty ordinary-looking (as are most folks, by definition). If he looked like "NASA Mohawk Guy", it'd be more problematic. As it is, he's got those standard-by-normal guy-just-standing-out looks that a lot of artists actually prefer to include to give their works verisimilitude.

Not to derail, but was the mystery of the hipster cops ever solved?

They own a very nice apartment in Astoria and are thinking of adopting.

I'm not sure there's a great mystery to solve - they're not always cops, their hair color varies, as does their hair style, sometimes they're hard to even make out ... there may not be a lot of pattern to explain here.

On the other hand, if you ignore outlier a trend definitely emerges.

What a genius! Now if only I'd thought of it first...

Someone link me to the inevitable scans-daily post about the mystery hipster cops, please? I want to follow this rabbit hole all the way down.

It would be kinda funny if the two mystery cops turned out to be example characters in a "Teach Yourself to Draw Comics" type book.

More about the mystery cops - they seem to have broken through to the regular DC universe, and seem to be featured in a book co-written by Scott Snyder, who originally brought them to light. I'm guessing this is all leading up to another idiotic Skrull crossover.
