The first of these tumblr things that I've liked. Thanks for this.

'For certain materials and types of work, you need slower speeds' is going up on a wall in my office.

These are well done. I hope they keep it going.

I'm reminded of a colleague who liked to point out when videogames contained statements of instruction that were just as applicable to real life. Like "Don't shoot food". Or "Avoid spikes".

These are much better than I expected. Quite brilliant, really.

Also hoping they continue with this.

My own personal favorite piece of machine-based advice has always been "remove tie before operating lathe."

I love this. The following life affirming message comes from the car park ticket machines at my local mall, it always prompts a smile....

Change is Possible

I must get a photo of it this week and send it on.

I always enjoy the "Do Not Eat" messages on silica or grease. Oh, you liars. I EAT YOU UP!

I have to disagree with that silica gel "they aren't toxic" thing. Sure, they won't poison you, but that doesn't mean they won't hurt you. A piece about the size of a grain of rice will absorb water (which is plentiful in your body) until it is about the size of a large marble. That's a blockage hazard in your throat, stomach or intestines.
