After living here for about four or five years, I finally had my first bout of culture shock.
I was riding the Kawasaki city bus line from my apartment, looked up from my iphone, and saw an advertisement for a plush doll of their mascot, Noruphin.
The doll was about $40, if memory serves.
I'm surprised we don't have our own Tea Party over here, bitching about public tax waste and whatnot.

Dai Mahou Touge is a wonderfully dark take on magical girls, hilarious if you know about the genre.
