Every time I think I know quite a bit about these two films (the original and the sequel/err remake) one of these articles comes out and blows my mind. I didn't know Greg Nicotero was on then team so maybe I just knew very little. Guess I'll have to watch it again!

Somehow, I managed to see Army of Darkness when it came out - without having seen either Evil Dead (still haven't FFS), and without realizing it was a sequel That was... interesting.

I have flashbacks to these movies every time there is a show or movie with animate trees or vines. Most recently one of the episodes of Sleepy Hollow.

If you get a chance, the DVDs with the commentaries from Rob, Bruce, and Sam are all pretty watchable, especially Sam Raimi's glee at hitting Bruce Campbell with things. I remember watching Oz The Great And Powerful and going "I think that's Bruce Campbell...yep, he got hit upside the head, that's Bruce."

How they didn't give Raimi the Three Stooges movie, I'll never know, talk about the perfect director.

I forgot about this movie. It is actually rather good, if you like campy movies.

Holly Hunter as Bobby Joe could have made a great film even greater.
