I remember a while back this generator got linked on 4chan—but as a legit story idea generator, not just something to laugh with.

The whole pitch was in an image, but I like it so much, I'ma just copy-type it up myself, right now:
Oh, you want IDEAS? Ideas for STORIES perhaps? Or maybe for TABLETOP ADVENTURES? Well, FRIENDS, you've come to the right place!

I'm going to give you TOO MANY IDEAS. You'll have so many ideas you have to sell them all and unwittingly contribute to ECONOMIC COLLAPSE.

Step 1! Go to http://kaction.com/badfanfiction/ and read what you get.

What's that? "Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining M*A*S*H and Chobits. The story should use the future as a plot device!" sounds like nonsense to you?

THEN YOU'RE NOT STRIPPING IT DOWN ENOUGH!

What's M*A*S*H about? It's about everyday people living through the hell that is war, and keeping their sanity through friendship and humor.

And Chobits. It's a love story about a helpless man-made being and a human falling in love.

And what's the future? SHIT THAT AIN'T HAPPENED YET.

Are you telling me that a love story about a human repair-person/doctor falling in love with a self aware battle construct on the front lines of an endless war fifty years in the future while fighting aliens wouldn't be FUCKING AWESOME?

TOO MANY IDEAS! I'M SORRY!

Margaret Thatcher braced herself, careful not to clutch her fists rhythmically as she often did when faced with an unusual situation. She found such circumstances stressful, and she believed stress was beneath her . She looked over the man lounging in the seat before her with a hard, critical eye. Unkempt, hair like a bramble thatch caught in a downspout... but a certain twinkle in his eye. Could he be the one? "Your brother recommends you highly, sir. And Mycroft has rarely steered me wrong, Mister Holmes."

"Well, I see that you've been keeping late nights, not surprising for a woman of your stature, of course, but your necklace has its clasp showing, and you're struggling to control your temper by the way your hands are twitching ever so slightly, but in step with a heart rate I would consider above average for a woman your age. But, come, Maggie -- may I call you Maggie? -- why not simply tell me what is troubling you?"

Okay, I'm spending way, way too much time with these ... but I couldn't resist this one:

"No, I was with my son all day."

"Oh, okay. Well that clears that up, then." He put the unlit cigar in his mouth and patted his worn-out trench coat as if looking for a match, then rummaged through his pockets for a few seconds, coming up empty.

"Gee, you don't have a light do ya?"

Walter glared at the detective. "Not since I found out I have cancer. No."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. White. I feel awful. I shouldn't have asked that. Really, I feel just terrible. Maybe I should just go."

"Yes, maybe you should."

"Yessir."
