To me, this joke account would make more sense if it pretended to be in Calabasas or The Palisades.

In fact, Los Feliz is the place you move when you can't afford to have kids in Silver Lake.

I hate that I like this.

We have a six-month-old in not-particularly-schmancy day care and ... the names, it's the names that get me.

Is Los Feliz really this obnoxious now? I wouldn't know, I rarely go to the west side.

Anywho, I wonder if they called it that because Silver Lake is too obvious.

Los Feliz is only the Westside if you live in Pasadena.

This morning during Advocacy Hour Pearl's parents chose to "set free" her Shamu lovey because whales cannot be owned. She was brave. Mostly.

man, tears running down my cheeks I'm laughing so much.. This is good skewering ..

Sorry, mykescipark, the Westside is anywhere west of the 5 Freeway.

the Westside is anywhere west of the 405 Freeway.

Phew, you scared me for a minute.

With all the Ebola hysteria going on, DO NOT get tricked into fear-based vaccinations! Also, any parents want to discuss Gone Girl later?

If only one could laugh.

Unless you want to send your kids to public school. Then you move from Silver Lake to Eagle Rock, and you see all the people you saw in Silver Lake 10 years ago. (Silver Laker for 12 years, moved to Eagle Rock last week.)

Yeah, as a LosFelizer, this isn't very Los Feliz.

Every time a new child's name is cited I giggle.

Two from January 24th that made me smile:

"Dylan Follow Friday'ed everyone in class except for Astrid. This is a tricky discussion."

"Do any parents know if Tellulah's moms are still in Park City? She is still here and it sounds like her manny is on a Tinder date."

This one feels a bit like it could be used as a mod note:

"Due to the latest biting incident, we're calling off Israeli/Palestinian discussion week. We'll send a memo home tomorrow with more details."

Some points from someone in the neighborhood:

Your article on the gentrification of Los Feliz is from 2005. I don't know what it was like then, but with the exception of the east side of Los Feliz (by East Hollywood, around Western), the area is pretty much totally gentrified.

Silver Lake is where people from Silver Lake with money settle down.

The debate about whether Los Feliz/Silver Lake is "eastside" or "westside" is one that's raged a bit this year, mainly breaking down along class and race lines.

The Twitter is fucking hilarious, the one thing that rings a little false though is that the anti-vax stuff is more of a Westside/Palisades thing, seriously, you can map it in this article. Los Feliz/Silver Lake/Echo Park people are crunchy but not nearly as new agey as the rich beach people in Malibu, Palisades or Toponga.

By a different tweeter:

"I'm pretty sure @LosFelizDayCare is a parody but then again Los Feliz has an actual store offering aroma therapy for dogs."

Ah, just like the names "Jennifer," "Heather," and "Wendy" made your grandparents apoplectic...

Writer writes something that brings multiple people enjoyment. Internet commenter complains that's not good enough.

Yep. Not nearly enough. See how often you check back to that Twitter account. My guess would be NEVER.
