Rushnerd
This right here is the future of music videos
There's something so wrong about that.

If this was up your alley, I highly recommend catching the current live show for the new album. There are videos I could link to, but it would be a shame to watch them and feel like you understand what it's all about. On a state-of-the-art club soundsystem, with massive synesthetic visuals crowding your field of vision, the newest tracks are sublime. There's sooo much going on that your brain just kind of shuts down and you become a puddle of goo.

I saw this the other day from Warp's feed. It's a very interesting way to make a music video in the post-MTV age — but mainly I want to know how it works, so thanks!

Oh god Squarepusher's live shows are amazing now. If you saw him back in the early 2000s when it was just a guy with a bass plugged into a server rack, it is very much not that anymore.

Just a guy with a bass plugged into a server rack is something I would enjoy though

Maybe I'm not giving him enough credit but I was probably a bit annoyed at that show from having watched Luke Vibert on a laptop playing solitaire for all I know for about two hours as the opener.

I spent the entire video looking at my meatneck.

I really enjoyed watching the video as plain ol' 2D without any glasses or anything. The distortions to fit the entire field of view into a rectangle were neat in the same way as Blinky, a hack that lets you play Quake with different 360º projections.

It's like, screw stereo vision, I can see ALL AROUND ME ALL THE TIME.

Well according to his web site he ain't coming nowhere near this hemisphere anytime soon. Oh well, Baltang Ort is definitely my new jam.

Wait - looking at fungible's link - is it possible that he's actually just uploaded a shit ton of his albums onto youtube? Like completely for free? I suppose maybe there's some monetization scheme that I'm not seeing since I have adblock?

According to the Movement website, he is going to be at Movement in Detroit on May 25. I'm very seriously thinking about going that day just for him.

If you don't happen to have a VR headset lying around, the video can also be viewed as a iPhone app. the phone acts as a window into the world, moving it changes one's view.
