Fable Friday: Venus and the kitty cat

Venus, as usual, can't mind her own business. What cat would want to be a human (except, maybe, to open cans)? Who would give up a perfectly fine relationship because of a mouse pounce?
Everyone in this story is a jerk, except the cat!

Would make a nice parable about addiction and relapse.
The original fable assumes that a cat could feel love, but I guess that's why they're called fables.

As it says in one fable-like Grimm tale, "and such is the way of the world."
