This is delightful, but I’ve paid money for these and I can still pay money for these, so… why are they on archive.org?

Yeah, I suspect this is something the BBC hasn't quite gotten around to taking down yet. Archive.org also used to have a huge catalog of back episodes of I'm Sorry, I Haven't A Clue as well; I listened to a few of them and enjoyed them, but when I went back for more they had been taken down.

Just because it's rarely mentioned, Bruiser was a pretty great series.

I love That Mitchell and Webb Sound, but MetaFilter is not an illegal download catalog.

In the same Disappearing David Mitchell vein, a decade's worth of The Unbelievable Truth on YouTube -- the backbone of a great FPP not long ago -- has been taken down. Sadness.

That Mitchell and Webb Look (the TV show) is available in its entirety on Youtube, if people are interested and are not stressed about the legality. I rewatched them all a few weeks ago, so I assume they're still up.

BZZZZT!

While I may earn a point for identifying a truthful statement about the show being taken down from youtube, your state of sadness will hopefully no longer be a true statement, as you can find all of them here.

The Old Lady Job Justification Hearings is still one of my favorite things. "What about opening a little shop?"

Well, that and Big Talk. "COME ON, BOFFINS!!!!!"

At one point, That Mitchell and Webb Look was available in the US on DVD, but I haven't been able to find it for years. I'll just go around humming to myself, looking for my nemesis.

Anyone care to play a quick round of Numberwang?

Wow ... a 2003 radio comedy that opens with Acker Bilk's pond-crosser Stranger on the Shore?? Ironic, as that was the name of a 1961 BBC TV drama! The Beeb sure loves to play to nostalgia, wot?

Man how is this the first time I've heard of Bruisers? Such a great show!

Also great find on the sound, excited to actually listen to it all as opposed to bits and pieces.

... And it is now gone from archive.org.
