Saudi militants obtain SA-7 missiles Not to worryf. The govt will, I'm sure, crack down on them as if they were adulterers. Besides, they are not in the axis of evil.

FYI - the SA-7 is an older missle system that poses little threat to our military aircraft.

It's not military aircraft that is the real concern. It's those giant winged aluminum tubes packed with hundreds of people hurtling back and forth that are the concern. They already scream "Look at me...I can't possibly fly. I'm fatter than a fourth grader". Add an anti-aircraft missile to the equation and your frequent flier miles become part of your estate.

They said the insurgents are seeking to down a U.S. warplane in the kingdom in an effort to terminate the American military presence.

Definitely these rockets would pose a threat to a civilian jet. However, I doubt there's a whole lot of American civilian travel in and out of Saudi, and they apparently intend to target "warplanes."

Ah yes. The US Army is well known for leaving town as soon as it's shot at. Seriously, where'd these militants get their information?

Perhaps some such journal ought to start a rumor that they're buying and selling cocaine. Then the US would start taking things seriously!
