Feeding stingrays in their natural habitat: the deserts of Arizona.
Unintentional innuendo: "mouthful of ray water". Like sharks, their skin is smooth as hell.
Obnoxiously upbeat family pets rays at a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game, their other natural habitat. Ray action starts around 1:58, if you know what I mean.
Petting rays in Denver, a third natural habitat, with an underwater camera. Note: if you wish to pet me in Denver you need permission.
Goateed bro gets stung by a stingray he thought was a flounder live on camera; is undeterred from further partying.
Obligatory Mr. Ray

Hey! That’s my friend Kat, who works at the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum. She’s great, and I really recommend visiting if you’re ever in Southern Arizona. One of the episodes of the recent seasons of Planet Earth (deserts) was filmed there as they showed off the incredible Harris Hawks, which are part of the Raptor Free Flight program.

I petted rays at the Monterray Bay Aquarium this summer.
They were covered in velvet. So soft....

On the one hand, I am mildly miffed that I missed the opportunity to post this particular cousin ray. On the other hand, I am grateful that it gave you the chance to do so.

I have fed the rays at the Desert Museum. It’s a little harder to feed them than you’d think. They’re quite something to feel, though.

The rays at the Desert Museum seem to have their sociable and unsociable days -- sometimes the kid and I have everything we offer slurped out of our hands within seconds of offering it, sometimes I still have shrimp after fifteen minutes.
Awesome experience every time, though. Rays cool.
