Beautiful work. There is something about the bit in Peter Pan that’s quoted in this that without fail makes tears well up in me, but putting the blatant emotional manipulation aside, every aspect of this was brilliantly in tandem with each other. The acting, writing, lighting, score, costumes, set dressing, even its length, all meshed quite seamlessly and made it stronger.

What a wonderful film. Darn dust.

One of my favorite Brit soap actors was in the cast, but for only 5 seconds: Lorraine Stanley.

That CO. His rank would easily get him a secretary's time long enough to type all those letters, leaving him to just sign them, but he sits there all day long and types them out himself. It's the last thing he can do for them.

My heart. It's one of those works where you know exactly what's happening so there is no shock but the emotions are conveyed so brilliantly that you don't need that shock.

The typing Army officer is played by Doctor Who's son, Sean Pertwee.
