Sweet and simple, some photos of Edwardians with their dogs. (sl Tumblr, h/t Laura Olin's newsletter.)
The dogs look so modern, compared to the people in their old timey clothes.

Me and the lady in the first picture are kindred spirits. My pitbull is black and white though

What would the exposure time on something like this be?

My reaction, too! The dogs all look like time travelers, taking pics with their friends from the past.

I think that the guy with the bowler hat would make a great YouTube channel, detailing how he goes everywhere with his dog and is besotted with it.

By the 1870s-1880s, it was a small fraction of a second, not much different than modern cameras. You can see some movement in the dog's heads in some pictures, but you'd get that today too.

I can't place it, but there's something weird about the people.
The Women with Cats look like 1920s people.
But the Edwardians with Dogs look like modern people dressed up as Edwardians.

Maybe it's that crazy-sharp lens used in some of the Edwardian shots...makes you think this can't possibly be from the past

I knew there would be Jack Russells, and I was not disappointed. (Ask me about my Jack Russell. And how much I identify with Bowler Hat Man.)
