Each individual slice of Sawmill is best enjoyed with four plastic Genuine Drafts, three Parliament Lights, and Bat Out Of Hell 2 at the outdoor bar.

That's a nice-ass slice of pizza.

They're so cute. I just want to kiss them in their pizza-filled faces.

Reminds me a lot of a jumbo slice.

Tony Roni is a character I created (for no purpose) in the early 90s. He had a theme song and everything. That was definitely not the real Tony Roni. Pizza looked OK though.

I knew this was a winner when he folded the slice and the pizza held it's shape. Extra bonus, no oil leakage.

tigrrrlily and I are staying in Seaside Heights this week, so we will be riding our bikes on the boardwalk to the Sawmill, and I'll be sure to post my own opinion on the Monster Slice later today.

They've previously released 7 episodes about Jersey shore pizza places, and have a further 5 episodes about boardwalk places premiering over the next few weeks.

I have to admit that them featuring The Sawmill is what led me to post, because that was the place right next to my childhood beach and I have eaten many a slice of Sawmill pizza. Haven't been down the shore in 30 years, but how it was when I was a kid will always be a cherished memory.
kdar: “Reminds me a lot of a jumbo slice.”
I think that's what it is. I used monster because that's the word they used in the video description. The restaurant describes it as a jumbo slice on the menu and on their t-shirts.

The Sawmill had an old-school motor-sign with a "damsel-in-distress" being sawed in half by a man with a black mustache which always freaked me out when I was young. Made it seem like a dark adult place (because what adult would want to see a lady cut up for fun? ha!)

I think Seaside recently banned smoking, which is wild considering you could win cartons of cigarettes for a quarter spin on the wheel.

Okay, I tried a slice. The person at the counter knew who I was talking about when I mentioned the YouTube video (said they were fun) and confirmed that a regular slice was in fact the Monster Slice in question.
The review was dead-on. I knew exactly what to expect. It was quite good for a slice for a slice place, and the slice was HUGE.
Here's the photo I took. May it bring back happy memories :)
