It's been a crazy week in America. Let's find out what happened!

Maybe you didn't know you needed a ribbon and sparkle-suit clad Black woman who can explain why using police as debt collectors leads to the killing of Black people in one breath, then bust out a retro R&B jam for the vaccinated in the next. But The Amber Ruffin Show is the special blend of silly and serious we all needed. Launched during the pandemic, the Emmy-nominated show returns on Peacock tonight with its first-ever live studio audience.
Don't have Peacock? Amber's YouTube channel has plenty to check out.
She has the best songs.
By the way... Amber didn't sneak up on you. She's been ready for years. She's been one of the writers of A Black Lady Sketch Show. She's the best part of Late Night Night with Seth Meyers. She's the best part of NBC's Olympics coverage. She's an all-star of Drunken History. She's co-author of the best-seller You’ll Never Believe What Happened to Lacey: Crazy Stories About Racism. She wrote a musical about The King of Kong.

It's a shame I already write up Last Week Tonight every week, I have to fight the urge to add yet another show to my Fanfare plate.

Amber and Lacey's book is not to be missed. Hilarious and infuriating. You learn quickly why Amber ends every show with a refreshing adult beverage.

Amber got a little emotional having a live audience for the show for the first time.
